Shawna: do not read this.

Shawna is a complete gambling fool. She'd loose every dime we have if I left her alone in a Vegas casino!

Thank God we live more than 2 hours away from the nearest casino.

I just read that they now offer horse racing online! Xpressbet.com allows members to join free of charge, place bets, and watch races. There are no charges and you can even use your credit card too.

When we were in Houston last time we went to the horse races. We had a good time and even though we didn't win much it was an interesting sport and just as interesting watching the people around us!

Plans all over the place.

I'm talking about our personal plans of course. Shawna just said that she thinks she's ovulating. She peed on a stick and the two lines are almost the same color. Which of course means that she will be heading to NYC. We were going to skip this month but we both think that if her body is working then she should listen to it and go make a sperm run.

Of course, now we just have to figure out what to do with the kid that we already have while she's away.

Going home.

Well, I'm heading home now. I've just got to get to a stopping point. Some days it's easier than others. Of course, tomorrow I'll walk in the door and the chaos will start all over again.

Take me away.

Just a few more days til our beautiful vacation to Cancun. It's an all-inclusive right on the beach and I can't wait! Once you go on an all inclusive resort vacation you never go back!

Our first all inclusive was in St. Thomas and the first night we drank enough to put a frat house out of business. After that we stayed clear of the alcohol and just enjoyed the water sports!

Vacations.net offers a great variety of all inclusive vacations for the whole family. They do all of the work to make sure that your vacation is picture perfect! Or pitcher perfect. Whichever you prefer.

Finally...

a website that will let you chat and meet other people. The great thing about Person.Com is that there's not pretending!

Person.com offers an online dating service where you can use your webcam and talk directly to the other person. That way when/if you finally meet them in real life -- it's not a picture from 20 years ago! Or the person hasn't sent you a picture of their hot cousin.

Person.com also offers a game called "Play and Flirt". It's really fun and you get to meet other great people just looking to have fun!

(Of course, I was just checking it out to write the review.) *wink*wink*

Check out Person.com - webcams, chat, personals!

Miss home.

Today was my first day back to the job. I miss being home and being with the girls. Thank God Graem and Shawna came to see me to drop something off because it was good to see them. Of course, I have so much work to do I can barely look up.

When will this end?

Oh yeah May 11th! (Vacation!)

Ouch! Darn paintball!

Shawna was just talking about going out on a paintball course with our group of friends. Of course, she started asking around by telling people how much fun she had as a teenager and how bruised they got during their paintball game.

To say the least we weren't overly eager to sign up!

Our local paintball store closed. More than likely it was due to the big box sporting goods store opening up locally.

Good thing there are still a paintball store online that specializes in paintball guns, paintball markers, paintball supplies, and paintball gear.

Pntball.com offers a great website with just about anything you could ever thing of when playing paintball! They offer free shipping over $200 and even have an online chat where you can talk with someone directly.

If I were to go out there I'd have to have the best gear and gun. I'm all for the Tipmann A-5 Marker Gun and Sniper Set.

I can only imagine how vicious our friends would be when out in the wilderness with nothing but brush and a thin layer of protection between us!

I've contemplated...

going back to school. In my profession they offer a Masters program in Landscape Architecture but I'm not sure I'd benefit from it unless I wanted to teach college or university.

In most cases getting a higher education means going to classes during the day, staying up late at night working on assignments, and no income while attending school.

That's not the case any longer! Capella University makes it easy to get your degree while working full time. You can attend their online university and they have many different degree programs that you can enroll in.

In fact, I have a few friends that are attending online schools and it's fitting in perfectly with their day to day routines - including a full time job!

This (or “the following”) blog post was (or “is”) based on information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com.

Work.

I can only imagine what I might be walking into tomorrow after having to leave on short notice for my mom's funeral. I'm sure that everyone picked up where they could. The thing is it's hard to come back because I'm going to have to take over the projects and look over everyone's work to make sure that it looks presentable and there were no gaps.

Sleep.

I am still exhausted and despite having the flexibility to sleep in these past few days...I haven't been able to!

I'm glad that we tackled the much needed housework and yardwork this weekend. At least I can go to work and not feel like this weekend was totally a waste of time!

Looking for leads?

Thank God our firm has tons of business and leads and I never have to worry about being out of a job! In fact, we've had to turn down work because we just don't have the employees to take on more of a workload.

If things ever slow down we might be interested in something that promotes business sales leads. Most places have a database that they use to connect their information to potential clients. MartinWorldWide.net will provide your organization with researched demographics for your business and places that would be potential clients to the service or product you might be featuring.

Our friend Alex is in advertising sales. This might be the perfect way for him to build his database since right now he's just making cold calls and not having much success!

I wish I were a winner.

I absolutely never win anything. Shawna's pretty lucky with some things including parking spots and gambling.

I've found the perfect place where even I can be a winner! whogets.com offers some great contests and ways for me to win prizes and cash.

The best part about it is that I don't have to sign up for tons of crap mail! God knows I get enough of that already!

Bed time.

It's been a long day. We slept in this morning and we're trying to catch up on all of our lost sleep.

Now, after having friends over --- it's time for bed.

I've never been happier!

I love it.

When Shawna set up her business we were looking for a program that would provide a marketing database, sales database, and help with organization of finances. We ended up going with ACT but that only really helped with the marketing aspect.

Now there's a program that offers all of the above and more! AIMPromote offers an amazing program for big and small businesses alike. A crm software specializes in promoting marketing and accounting and bottom line revenue all in one software.

The best part about AIMPromote is that you can actually try it out for 14 days and make sure that it's the perfect program for you. If it is - keep it!

Another great point is that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like the other programs out there. You can purchase it whether you are a big business with millions to spend or a small business owner with a very limited budget.

Too bad we didn't see this program earlier. Of course, I'm still going to check out the free trial promo!

HOME.

Well, we finally made it home today. I'm so glad to be at home and be able to sleep in my own bed. It's been an exhausting week and although I'm glad that it's over...I'm also glad that we went to the Philippines and I was able to see my family and have one last goodbye with my mom.

Need help?

A few years ago we had to search for rehab for a loved one and we had no idea where to start. We were in a particular situation that really insisted that we find a good rehab in a short amount of time.

Many drug treatment centers offer a safe place for people who have issues with addictions. However, it's hard to find the right one for you or your loved one's needs since there are so many out there.

That's why I'm glad 1800nodrugs.com offers a referral website for people like me! People who know they need help but don't know where to turn.

I love silver!

One thing that never loses it’s value is us silver coins! Even when our stocks are floundering you can always look to silver, gold, and precious metals to maintain their value.

Monex Deposit Company offers silver, gold, and other precious metals for delivery or they will make arrangements to have your metals stored privately and securely at a bank or depository.

I didn’t realize this but Monex Deposit Company (MDC) is an industry leader. They sell gold in two forms: coin or ingot. The world demand now exceeds the supply demand for gold - which makes it a pretty smart investment.

Especially with the economy doing so poorly and people losing all of their investments with the stock market!

The Catholics.

We have been in the Philippines for a few days now and everyone here is Catholic. That might explain why everyone has more than three children! Even the driver that takes us everywhere does the cross on his chest before he starts the car.

I'm sure they all have Catholic bibles.

My mom's funeral was a traditional Catholic, Chinese funeral and it was so interesting to see religion and tradition combined.

Just say HI!

Have you had a hard time looking for love?

Are all of the people you meet deadbeats?

Are you tired of wasting your hard earned money on an online website that's suppose to help you find "true love"?

Look no further. Now you don't have to go through all of the other dating services. There's just one that offers great profiles and is FREE!

Save your hard earned cash for the dates to come!

Finally...

a place that gets the importance of Landscape Design and values what I do on a daily basis!

SLDA Landscape Design Associates offer a great deal of services for residences and businesses in the Boston area that need that extra bit of help with their outside surroundings.

They specialize in "expanded living space for expanded living" and I like how they use stone for many of their projects. Not only does it make the setting look comfortable and serene, but it also keeps a very natural feel to the setting.

Too bad these guys aren't closer to us because we need some serious help with our front yard landscaping and design.

Out of meeting.

Well, I got out of the meeting right at 3:30 or so. Just as I had expected and it looks like I'll be home around 5:30pm. That's not too bad I suppose!

It's actually been good that I've been working so much because it allows me to be able to plan for the upcoming IVF and trip to San Diego that Shawna's going to take in September.

Of course, I also have to make sure to not wear myself out either.

A new way of buying!

All of our friends look to Shawna as the bargain shopper. We've had friends call her from stores when they are shopping for diapers or shampoo to ask if it's a good deal.

Now, there's a place where no only you can go to find some awesome deals but you might also get some free items by doing your homework!

umanSearch Shopping offer some great items at really low prices. If you go to their website and find an item at a cheaper price elsewhere they will give you 10% of the item price (up to $20!).

Now that's a company that stands behind their prices.

The best part about this cool website is that if you find a better deal online than you can find with their "featured products" then they will not only buy the item for you -- but it have shipped to you too!

That's absolutely amazing and unheard of!

If you're looking for books, computer, digital camera, food, games, GPS, home appliances, mp3 players, and even pets -- you've got to check out umanSearch.com.

You won't believe your eyes! They have everything. I better hide this website and not let Shawna know about it. God knows, she is prohibited from all online shopping these days. Especially great discount websites like this one!!

Rome.

Well, I'm off to Rome today. Not Rome, Italy - but Rome, NY. The drive shouldn't be too bad but it's a good 2 hours away. I hope that I get out of the meeting before 3:00 or else I won't make it home til later tonight.

Colon care.

Since my dad was recently diagnosed with colon and prostate cancer I've decided to take better care of myself. I scheduled a physical with my primary and even have a colonoscopy scheduled too.

Another natural way that I can keep my body in good shape is to have a Dual Action Cleanse. My friend does a cleanse twice a year and swears by it. Not only does she feel better about herself and starts treating her body better but it really does clean the colon and provide for a healthier body.

MyDualActionCleanse.com offers a great product that will remove toxic buildup, help you feel cleanier and healthier, and help your skin and hair!

Caught up on TV

The good thing about this weekend was that we were able to catch up on some of our favorite television shows that we had fallen behind on!

We're back in love with Jack Bauer. God knows, he never lets us down.

We also finished up Prison Break. It's getting a little old. How long can these losers keep running from the law and break out of prison?

Brain Tumor Awareness

I was never really aware of cancer until my dad was diagnosed. It only took a few months for me to go to the doctor and get checked out by my primary and I have my colonoscopy scheduled for the next few weeks.

The good thing is that one of the newest advance is radiosurgery. They do everything by commputer and go in and use a gamma knife to get the most accurate cuts. This a procedure that they are currently doing with brain tumors. However, I can see where this could also be beneficial in areas like the colon, pancreas, liver, or prostate.

BrainTumorTreatment.Org is a great resources for not only brain tumor patients but cancer patients alike. They offer educational information as well as information on treatments.

Gamma Knife Saves Lives

Leaving early today.

I have to head out at 3:30 today because Shawna has a consult with the doctor out in San Diego. I'm pretty curious as to what the doctor has to say after seeing her chart and seeing the diagnosis etc.

I think moving on to the embryo transfer is probably our best option at this point. Not only has it been proven with two other couples using this same batch...but it seems less invasive on her body.

Maybe this is an option.

My dad was diagnosed with cancer back in December and I've read so much about the treatments, prognosis, and symptoms. He just finished chemo and in the next few months will be undergoing surgery.

Of course, I just read about the new Gamma Knife . I wonder if it would be an option for him or if his surgeons use it at all. It allows for distinct accuracy. Right now it is being used in treatment for brain tumors.

BrainTumorTreatment.org has tons of information about cancer, treatment, and an all around resource for someone diagnosed with cancer or is undergoing treatment.

Work.

I can't believe I work as much as I do. I even feel guilty if I get in late (8:00) or leave early (5:30). I don't know what that's all about - except for the fact that's so much work and I feel responsible for making sure that it gets done.

I need to have less guilt.

LV Real Estate

I'm not sure how much I like Las Vegas but one thing I do know is that the real estate is in very high demand.

When we went there this summer we saw some beautiful homes located right in front of the bright red mountains. They were amazing and I'm sure they weren't cheap!

New homes are popping up everywhere in the Las Vegas area. It's hard to really get an idea of what's out there if you don't live close by.

MillionSaver.com allows you to look at the beautiful houses online and get an idea for what is offered. They have trained and professional staff that will help you with your real estate purchase and investments.

Las Vegas is always a happening place and I'm sure that the real estate is always in hot demand. Buying investment properties in Las Vegas might not be such a bad idea!

It's getting too big!

Our business is constantly getting new clients. We don't do marketing and we just have a small regular business listing in the yellow and white pages.

Most of our business is repeat business and we also get new clients every once in a while.

I've tried to focus more of our marketing efforts on branding and creating a professional image through marketing materials. However, I think it's equally important to continue marketing to our existing clients as a whole.

At some point it would make sense to purchase a program where we could enter contact information, send press releases and information, and keep track of our clients needs via a database. Not only would this be ideal for the whole office to use ... but it would really help with customer satisfaction and making sure that we delivery everything we promise and go beyond!

A sales lead management tool would be the perfect solution for us. AIMPromote seems to offer a really good product that helps with lead management while letting you integrate services with online and paper. It can also monitor traffic on your website and allows you to see the demographic and where your traffic is coming from.

The great thing about AIMPromote is that it offers some of the same features as other programs and MORE! Plus, they are offering a 14 day trial period so that you can see if you like it before purchasing.

Check it out!

Snoring.

Either Shawna went to bed before me last night or my snoring is getting better? I only remember getting hit twice and we seemed to both wake up feeling refreshed.

Maybe we should just drink wine every evening before going to bed. That could be much more fun and cheaper than surgery!

Seminar.

Today we had a seminar at work. We have to have so many CEUs in order to stay registered each year and so one of the vendors we work with sent someone in to give a presentation.

It was interesting ... but I feel like I just don't have time to sit through a presentation!

Thai food?

I think that sounds delicious. It seems like we constantly go to the same restaurants. But the truth is ... their proven to have delicious food and these days we just can't take chances! Especially, when Graem isn't the most cooperative at times and can make our dining experience miserable!

Rehab.

Unfortunately, I have had to deal with addiction in my life. A loved one of mine has been in rehab numerous times and it's been very draining emotionally and physically.

The first time that this happened I didn't know how to respond and the best thing I knew to do when I got the call was to ignore what was going on. I was just starting as a business professional and not only did I financially not have the money to support someone going into rehab but mentally I felt that I just couldn't do it.

My loved one was discharged after being in the program for a few months and was fine for a while. He was drug tested every week and remained clean.

Or so we thought.

Then we went to visit when Graem was just a few months old and realized that something was not right. Not only was he not acting like himself but he was acting different, defensive, and manic. When we questioned him he denied using.

At that point we had an intervention and was guided by a social worker on how to make him admit to his addiction and seek help. Without this social worker we wouldn't have known how to go about finding a drug rehab so that he could get clean.

After we approached him with the social worker he still denied useage and the social worker insisted that he get tested at the rehab in Pennsylvania. (Where he had been before.) That night, we drove from Albany, to NYC, to Scranton to admit my loved one.

It was really so much to take in ... not only was I trying to find the best thing for him...but mentally I was also trying to take care of my family too. Toting a 6 month old baby around New York state is not very easy!

Stone Hawk offers a great drug treatment program that is based on the Narconon program. All of the people that work there have also been part of the program so it means that they understand where you're coming from and your daily struggles.

Check out Stone Hawk's website where you can sign up for information, contact them via the web, or even call their 1-800 number. The best part -- they are there for you 24/7.

They understand addiction doesn't take the weekend and holidays off.

We care.

Today Shawna's getting a care package together for my dad. He just got finished going through his last round of Chemo and it seemed to really take it's toll. His skin is a dark brown color, his hands are cracked, and he actually has open sores in his mouth.

Shawna picked him up some new jeans, kleenex, some Burt's Bees for his hands, and we're looking for these medical gloves that have lotion in them so that his hands don't crack so bad from the powdered latex.

Farmer's Market!

I think the Farmer's Market is open this weekend and I can't wait to check it out. Each year it seems like they have some new vendors and new food. Our favorite is the Cambodian food that they have on Saturdays but they also have fresh vegetables and really good cheese!

Is it Friday yet?

YES, in fact it is! Don't know what Shawna has lined up for dinner but I'm not sure I care! I just want to be home with the girls, play a little Wii and watch some bad sitcoms!

*sigh* Too bad I have to go into work this weekend.

Party in Kissimmee!

I can't wait til Graem gets old enough for us to take her to Disney in Orlando. Just the other day when we went to the doctor's office she got a sticker from the doctor and it had Minnie Mouse. She was so excited and I was shocked to see that she knew who it was since we don't really watch a whole lot of television and Mickey and Minnie aren't really around that much!

More than likely because Orlando is so expensive we will choose Kissimmee hotels. You can get a great deal staying just outside of Orlando and within 30 minutes be right at Disney!

Homes.OrlandoVacation.com is a great place to find coupons, housing, and other information that mike make your trip to Disney affordable and fun!

You shrimp.

No, really...it's a compliment. I adore shrimp. I could eat shrimp with anything and my recent obsession with shrimp is using it with Indian food!

EatShrimp.com offers some great Shrimp Recipes for any type of occassion. This might be the perfect place for me to find a good recipe for a good shrimp bisque!

Here's why shrimp are delicious:

S = Saute
H = HOT!
R = Ridiculous to peel!
I = I hate the smell of shrimp
M = Me loves shrimp
P = Please, make me a delicious shrimp meal!

TV night and bed.

I honestly can't wait to sit my ass on the couch, watch a show or two, and then fall asleep! Last night was a living hell and everytime I got to sleep Shawna would yell at me. Tonight I think the trick is to make sure that she goes to sleep before me!

Get the right search!

Are you looking for amulti parameter search with negative keywords, which returns as many thumbnails as your screen can display ?

Are you tired of the same old search engines coming up with the same images and search results?

Then you should try flickrcash.com!

When we designed Shawna's brochure for her business cards a few years ago we looked at all of the clip art out there and in the end I ended up designing something by scratch because we couldn't find many good images.

Now Flickr is at it again with FlickrCash.com. You can view tons of images at one time without having to click through endless numbers of useless images. The best thing is they are thumbnails and big enough for you to get an idea if you actually like the image or not. It is a database of great clip art and images and you can actually buy them directly through the application. You can also post images to be sold!

This program would have saved us so much time, money, and disagreements had we found it a few years ago!!

Where have you been all my life, FlickrCash??

This post sponsored by: FlickrCash.com

Oh home.

Finally, made it home this afternoon after a long and grinding day at the office. It's always so nice to drive home and I feel like I can't get home fast enough.

Then of course, I walk in and Graem is either sleeping or yelling "MOMMY!"

She's been pretty wild and I can't tell if it's the bottle of cough syrup she digested or if she is having sleep deprivation!

Does Peter like it?

Finally, a website where Peter Belisi comments on what he does and doesn't like! It gives many of us the heads up on what is in and what's out of style.

Belisi is an industry leader with the many different fashions he provides. His look is very clean with beautiful straight lines and typically you can see his fashions when you aren't even looking!

StyleHive.com/Belisi offers first hand what Peter thinks of different fashions! Of course, that's not to say that you always have to agree! But then again, maybe it's for the best that you listen to the fashion designer's opinion.

Don't even think about wearing that tiger print shirt with that leather skirt ... until you see what Peter thinks!

That kid.

Shawna just called me and told me that Graem just got into the cough medicine. It sounds like she might have "sipped" most of the bottle and got it all over the bed, herself, and the floor.

Maybe that will clear up her cold. Good thing it doesn't have alcohol in it!

Darn cat.

A few years ago Shawna ran over the cat. Not only was it an expensive trip to the animal hospital. But we ended up spending about $2,000 on our FREE cat!

I think in the future we should probably consider getting pet insurance. PetCareInsurance.com offers insurance for animals. They offer a great website and you can even see the top 10 claims that they have paid for the month.

Yikes! Hip Dysplasia $5,600.

This post sponsored by: PetCareInsurance.com

Once again...

I'm so overloaded. I feel like a broken record because each day I come on here and complain about work. Today a coworker freaked the hell out and rightfully so. I wish we had more help.

The good news is it looks like next week I won't have to spend the night out of town.

Lookin' good, Belisi!

I've written posts for Belisi on numerous occassions and it was quite funny because over the weekend when we were cleaning out Margot's dad's closet we found that he has a whole stash of Belisi ties!

They were the nicest garment of clothing that he owned and you could tell the time and quality that went into actually making the tie.

Now Belisi is offering a great blog where you can get some dressing tips and there's also an article about cosmetic acupuncture which I found really interesting!

Here's a great picture of our boy, Peter:

Looking good as every, my friend! Now, if Margot's dad could just get some more of your clothing to fill his wardrobe!

I'm a snorer.

Last night was miserable. Shawna kept yelling at me and I literally didn't even notice that I was snoring! Finally, I got kicked out of the bedroom and ended up spending the last hour or so on the couch in the living room.

That sleep evaluation couldn't come fast enough.

No time for school.

I've thought about going back to school a few years ago and it just wasn't realistic. I'm in a profession where you really seem to top out financially unless you're a partner or work 70 hours a week at a big firm.

One option online school where I can do all of the work at my leisure and on my timeframe. I've always thought I'd be a good accountant and I love crunching numbers!

DirectoryOfSchools.com offers a listing of all of the online schools out there. You can see what programs they offer and also be directed to their website.

The last time I looked at schools online I was shocked to see how much they cost! Of course, at this point in my life I might be too old to go back. Not to mention, we just go finished paying for college debt.

Why would I want to start over from scratch??

You have the best television...

why not get the best cables?

My dad just purchased a brand new LCD 40 inch Sony Bravia television. It's absolutely beautiful. The one thing that isn't beautiful though is the picture!

Not only does he not understand the whole idea of the HD Cable Box but he also needs a HDMI Switch. That way he can tie his surround sound, dvd, and other electronics together.

www.tca-inc.net has a huge selection of HDMI switches for your home or office. The website is easy to use and you can even place an order online or call their toll free number.

I keep telling myself...

make it through the end of the day. Make it through the week. Make it through the month.

But the reality is...no matter what situation I'm in. There's always going to be tons of work that I just can't do by myself. We're all overworked and my boss and other co-workers worked close to 60 hours over the past few weeks.

So I feel bad complaining but this is just not working for me. I'm exhausted, bitchy, and can't seem to focus since I'm so sleep deprived.

Okay, enough bitching.

Must get back to work.

I'm barely breathing...

That's how I feel when we owe people. We are on our way out of debt right now but at one point we owed close to $35,000! That was a combination of traveling, college, infertility, new home, and eat outs!

At one point we considered loan consolidation and actually ended up rolling some of the debt into a home improvement loan that we took out. The loan just didn't make sense and the interest rate after the 2 year period was outrageous.

DebtConsolidationlowdown.com is a great website that offers tons of information about investments, debt, credit cards, and homeowning.

They say knowledge is power, and that certainly is the case when it comes to your finances! Know your stuff and don't be afraid to get as much education as possible on financial topics.

You work hard for your money!

Out of town next week.

Well, it looks like I'm going to have to go to a meeting in Oswego next week for work. More than likely since I know the meeting will run late and I have to be there the next day I'm going to just spend the night.

I hate to do it...but I think the long meetings plus 2 1/2 hours of driving each way would really do me in.

AUGH...I hate being away from my girls.

Busted in Vancouver?

If you're in the Vancouver, Canada area and looking for a reputable attorney that isn't listed on the back of the phone book you might want to go to LawyerShop.ca.

I have a friend who lives in Canada and currently trying to get her partner citizenship there. She might want to look at the different Immigration Lawyers Vancouver.

LawyerShop.ca is an easy to use website and you can search for attorneys in the Canada area and also by speciality.

Dinner tonight.

Typically, on Wednesday nights we end up going out because Shawna's been subbing, I've been working and we pick Grammy up late. Today, Shawna's not working and I know I'll probably be late.

God only knows what we'll end up doing for dinner. More than likely, we'll do TV dinners or maybe even a pizza from the freezer.

Yummy.

Blinded by the light...

I love that song and it reminded me of mini-blinds! We purchased blinds for Graem's room and they've been really nice to have. Especially on sunny days when the sun is blinding!

We have considered getting vertical blinds for the kitchen but we aren't sure if we're going to keep that big window or actually put in some french doors.

TerrysFabrics.co.uk offers an amazing selection of blinds and accessories for all rooms of the house! They offer free delivery over 100euros and also a no questions asked guarantee!

You absolutely can't go wrong with good service, a great deal, and fabulous shades!

If you're blinded by the light make sure to get some blinds!

So exhausted.

Work is literally draining the life out of me. This morning the alarm clock went off and I just couldn't get my ass out of bed. So I ended up getting to work late. At 7:30am.

I'm really trying to bust balls because I want everything to be set for when we go on vacation. Of course, by the time we board the plane to Cancun it might be time to admit me to the looney bin instead.

Shawna and her headbands!

Years ago Shawna got into this major headband phase. She had one of every single color in the rainbow and I would find them all around the houses. The last straw was when I stepped on one while walking in the dark.

To say the least, it wasn't a pleasant experience!

I think I might have found the perfect headband for her! Headbands of all shapes and sizes are offered at HeadGamesOnline. They even have some that look soft (without the painful insides).

Not only, do I think this would be a great gift but it might be the perfect compromise. She can wear her headbands and I don't have to kill myself if I step on them!

Down.

It's 8pm and we're already in bed. Of course, we're watching American Idol. Who could miss this, especially since J-Lo is on!

We also tried to get the $500 opp that PPP was offering and the minute I left the computer to take the dog out and get some water they put the offer out.

Damn, that always happens to me!

Techies unite!

I must admit...I'm an absolute techie and gadget geek. I check out technology magazines, look on websites, and right now my newest obsession is over the new i-phone that is due to be released in June!

Sometimes I have a hard time finding others that are as obsessed as me with technology, gadgets, science, and science fiction! I've watched all of the Star Wars flicks numerous times and when I get some extra money I will become the owner of the anniversary series!

There are tons of social networking groups out there for people of common interests to meet up and talk about specific topics.

I've most recently come across an awesome website called Sci-Edge.Me.Com! Signing up is easy and best of all FREE! Plus, it's a great website with tons of information and very easy to navigate through.

I've even started my own homepage and hope that the readers of my website, family, and friends will not only check it out but also join!

Check out my personal homepage where I plan on updating it with pictures and more information over the next week.

Finally, a place where I can chat with friends, play games, look at bulletin boards, and even take quizzes.

I'm in heaven!

Thank God.

I'm so glad to be back home after a long trip in New York City. Now of course, I just have to deal with work and all of the deadlines!

Good thing our nice, sunny, beach vacation is right around the corner and we're officially one month away.

I can make it til then.

*sigh*

Cheap calls!

I'm so sick of getting our cell phone bill and seeing that we have a new charge on it! Half of the time Verizon adds these "administrative" fees and after all is said and done we're paying over $100 for our cell phones per month!

One option for us would be to subscribe to Vonage. They are offering one month free and $24.99 for unlimited local and long distance calls.

That's absolutely unbelievable and we're probably going to make the switch soon!

This weekend.

I talked to Uncle T last night and it sounds like things are a complete disaster. Even with him cleaning for a day straight he's only been able to make a dent on the upstairs!

So I guess that means that we have to try to tackle the basement.

He also said that there is dirt and sludge everywhere and the contractors left the place a complete mess.

Great. Not only will we be cleaning up after ourselves which is hard to do but some carpenters.

Me so fat.

At one point I had gotten done to my all time low. Then the holidays hit.

Now I'm looking for just about any good health program, diet, or magical pill to help me take off about 15 pounds before we leave on vacation!

With that said, I've just come across a new diet pill that is guaranteed to help me lose the weight and they're only $14.95 per bottle.

I can afford that! Plus, if it doesn't work out I get a full refund (minus shipping and handling).

Nueslim is the new diet pill formula that you've heard of! Everyone's losing weight and at this point I figure what the heck!

I just need to take off 15 pounds - I'm not like others that need to lose hundreds!

Mickey and Minnie are waiting for you!

We figure in a few more years Graem will be old enough for us to take her to Disney! We went a few years ago with my uncle and aunt and fortunately, they paid for everything! So we never got to really see how much it costs.

One of my friends went a few months ago and told me the cost of tickets and I couldn't believe it!!

Disney World Tickets were very costly and her kids weren't even old enough to do most of the rides.

That's why I'm glad I stumbled across OrlandFunTickets.com. They offer a lot of good information about the Orlando, Florida area and also offer discount tickets for many of the entertainment venues.

Don't leave home without your coupons! The more you save before you get to Disney - the more you have to spend in their overpriced gift shops!!

AUGH.

I can't believe how much there is to do before we leave for New York City Friday. Thank God Shawna has the flexibility in her schedule to take care of us. I don't think we'd be able to do all of this if she was still working.

Or we might have to hire that third person in the relationship like we've been talking about!

Dog.

Have you ever dated a man who was a complete jerk?

Maybe you were in a relationship to find out that the guy you had been dating was cheating?

Now the World's Largest Database Rating Abusive and Cheating Men is here!

No longer do you have to get run over and abused and know that he's going to do it to someone else.

Check out WomanSavers.com. Creating an account is free and easy and you can work with the sisterhood of women that have been burned by abusive men. There are currently over 25,000 men in the database and it's growing every day!

Late night.

I can't even believe how much flipping work I have. It really never stops and I feel like I'm going to go crazy. Even though we've hired 2 people I feel like we could hire 10 and we'd still have too much work.

It looks like tonight's going to be a late night. Damn. I wish I could just go home regular time and take care of Graem and Shawna.

Both are still sick and I know it's just a matter of time before my immune system gives out too.

It's killing me.

I'm talking about the stock market of course. Every day I try to follow what my stocks are doing and every day I just about have a heart attack because I've lost so much money.

The horrible thing about stocks is that either the market is really good or really bad. There's never a middle ground.

Lately, I've been looking for ways to invest my money that are steady and low risk. I have even looked at global futures.

The whole idea is that it's a new and upcoming way to invest your money. Futures and forex trading is something that hasn't always gotten the credit that it deserves.

However, with the stock market being so unstable it's they're getting more and more attention.

Global Futures Exchange and Trading can help you invest your money and you can start out with as little as $250!

Poor G.

Grammy was sick for most of the night. She coughed and coughed and although I slept through it Shawna told me this morning. She's not running a fever and so we're going to ship her away to daycare.

We're hoping that it's something that goes away throughout the day. However, we're ready to get the call if/when she gets sick and needs to come home.

SWF - beautiful and hot in every way - seeking the same!

If this is you then you really should stop going through typical online dating sites. We all know that everyone uses an old picture from when they were hot and skinny. Then when you meet them they tell you how they got stung by a bee or ran into a chocolate cake on the way to the date.

For the serious dater who is into the art scene, creative, and looking for serious adventure and fun you've got to check out TheWhole9.com. If you live in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York TheWhole9.com is an online dating website that wants to help you find that special someone.

You can check out the profiles, put your own up and even put up pieces of art that you have created. It can give you a glimpse into someone's life without having to meet them!

That kid.

Graem is really a smart kid and lately we've been thinking that we need to think ahead when it comes to her education. Since she was born Dec. 28th she's 27 days late to start kindergarten. Which means that she's going to have to wait another year.

We've talked about looking into Montessori and trying to get her in there a year early so that at some point we can just transfer her into public school when the time comes.

Of course, that's only $9,000 a year.

Damn Spam.

I'm constantly opening up an email that looks familiar or a forward and finding out that I've just opened up spam on my computer! In fact because the spam has gotten so bad I've had to change email accounts on several occassions because it's taken over!

There's a great article that I just read on "7 Steps to Prevent Spam" that I'd have to recommend for any computer owner. Most of the steps are pretty logical but sometimes a simple reminder is all we need!

It's already 4pm!

Boy, I've been so busy at work I just looked up and I can't believe it's almost 4pm! I'm probably going to stay at work a little late tonight and put in some time. Especially, since I'll be leaving early Friday to go to NYC.

Where does my time go??

To love and to be loved...

that is the question! Before I met Shawna I had been in relationships with men, mostly and I never really felt a strong connection.

When I met Shawna I knew something was different but I'm not sure if I could pinpoint what it was.

Perhaps it that I knew she would be my soulmate...

I should have checked in with RelationshipHeadQuarters.com. They offer blogs, stories, and information to help women understand men and other people in their lives.

Start spreadin' the news...

we're leaving for NYC Friday. I feel bad that I wasn't there for my dad a few weekends ago and although he didn't come out I should have just assumed that he needed and wanted help.

So, it looks like we're heading out Friday after work and I'm hoping to get out a little early so we can get in at a reasonable hour.

Den's going to meet us up there and my uncle and aunt will be there too.

Set up!

I'm setting up our new computer as we speak and it's pretty darn cool! I'm happy to see that it made it today and even happier that I have my new Quicken CD in hand!

The jury's still out when it comes to Windows Vista. I just hope that it is compatiable with all of our other programs.

Could life get better?

Oh Lordy!

Shawna's a big fan of lingerie. In fact, on occassion she's surprised me with new items that she picked up during her daily shopping trips!

I don't think she's every visited the Angel Bodywear Lingerie website. More than likely she'd find a cart full of goodies and I'd have to get a second job to support her addiction!

Then again with all of the lingerie maybe she can start working the streets for some extra money!

That's my girl!

Our new computer!!!

I'm so excited to get my hands on the new computer! I figure by the time I get home that it should be delivered. I even got my new Quicken CD in the mail today. I've been a nervous wreck lately and have no idea what our finances look like.

I think I'm probably going to do our finances and then back it up weekly and take the disk to my office. God knows we'd really be screwed if I didn't have access to that information.

My fellow nerds...

I present you a great new website for us all to unite! Finally a place for social networking in a space that's friendly and perfect for the science hobbyist, technology geeks, and science fiction fan!

Sci-Edge.me.com is a hot new place for like minded people to get together and share comment, suggestions, blogs, games, photos, and even take quizzes!

You can join for free and there's tons of information to keep you busy for hours! You can build a webpage, start a forum, and even invite all of your friends who might be interested in science, technology, and sci-fi.

This is the place where the geeks rule and the jocks drool!

Late night tonight.

Even though I'm coming in early in the morning and leaving late I can't seem to get all of my work done. Just today one of my clients asked about the project and I feel like I'm not doing enough for him.

Tonight I'm going to stay late and hopefully I'll be out of here by 6:30 or so.

AUGH.

Sports!

Since I'm not involved much in sports like I was in high school I try to watch them on television and keep up with the top teams. I must admit I haven't been that good at it for some time and Shawna's constantly giving me grief!

I might not be that good at actually playing sports but I do make one heck of a coach or manager! In fact, last year for softball I had everyones stats and even had their batting averages memorized! That's why I think I'd do awesome at Fantasy Sports!

RotoPlay.com offers an easy to use website where I can manage Basketball, Baseball, Football, Golf, and even Nascar.

They offer short term payouts and you can win some serious money. Just by playing the game and knowing your stuff!

You thought I was a good softball coach...watch out!

Back at the grind.

This weekend was fun and despite Shawna being sick it seemed like we got out quite a bit. I took Graem out both days and we played outside, went to the park, and ran some errands.

Not to mention, we made a grocery run yesterday.

Is it a bad thing that we have 5 containers of ice cream in our freezer?

All different flavors of course.

I want to pump you up!

Last night Shawna was counting the pills she takes and she's up to 11 each night and I'm right at 5. We typically go to the natural foods store to get vitamins and other supplements. However, if you've ever gone to GNC you'll realize that they aren't the cheapest around!

Discount Supplements are now available online through a supplement superstore! You can save up to 75% off the retail of price. Whether it's weight loss or body building BeFit4free.com has the supplement to fit your diet.

You might also be eligible for FREE stuff too! With the purchase of just $15 you are eligible for free lifting straps. If you spend $99, you get $10 off. The more you spend, the more you save.

They also have some great deals on gym equipment too!

Snot.

We have so much snot in our house it's not even funny. Between Graem sneezing and Shawna hawking lewgies it's quite the scene! Graem sounded horrible this morning when I left for work and I'm just hoping that she doesn't get pnemonia and have to go to the hospital like last time.

I think we're going to try to dose her and also give her a few nebulizer treatments to keep the phlem moving.

Cars.

At some point we're going to want to buy a used car and it seems like the prices out there at the dealerships are just a little bit lower than buying a new car!

We'll also have a trade in so more than likely they'll get us coming and going!

That's why went we go to sell car we're going to try to do it online. SellMyAuto4Free.com offers free listings and you can also add pictures and give a full profile of your car.

That way you can get a good deal and leave the guy at the car lot there by himself with his bad suit!

Work.

I decided to come in to work today to sort out a few things. It seems when I come in over the weekend for a few hours I'm always able to get a better start on the week.

God knows, when I walk in first thing Monday morning and the phones are ringing and I have 20 emails I can't get a handle on the week and already I'm behind!

Darn conference!

Last year when I tried to sign up for the ASLA conference I kept getting error messages when I submitted my registration form. I was so frustrated and so I finally ended up calling the 1-800 number and enrolling online.

It seemed like it would have been perfect had the system been able to gather my information, send it to the company, and then a confirmation email sent back to me. Or, if the registration form was incomplete I could have received an email too.

Maybe ASLA needs to invest in a competant event registration service so that this year when people sign up online and leave the registration area - they can be contacted and follow-up can be provided!

RegonLine.com offers a great program that's easy to use and not only perfect for the organization using it --- but is sure to gain popularity by conference attendees too!

This weekend.

I really do hope that the weather is nice and warm out because I'd really like to take Grammy out and do something outside!

Lately, it looks beautiful but it's freezing out! I haven't been out much today but I heard on the radio that it's suppose to be nice out with a high of 60.

Not too shabby.

Maybe spring is on the way!

Connect with me!

It seems like no matter where I go I still feel like I'm constantly in a pocket where people can't get a hold of me! Now there's a way to stay connected!

Isellim: Connect with experts online now via Instant Messaging

Dennis actually has this program and it's really great cause you can go to his website directly and text message him. He actually gets the message on his cell phone and can reply back!

Check out their new press release for more information:

A new website at www.isellim.com allows experts to set up an account and get paid by clients for their expertise.

Are you a great financial planner? Maybe you have excellent fashion sense or can tell someone how to optimize their website

How much is your time worth? $75 an hour? $15 for 15 minutes? $30 per call? Whatever you like. People will only be able to

contact you when they've prepaid your rate.

"Creating a simplified way to sell knowledge is a logical and overdue step on the economic evolution of the net," said

isellim's creator Richard Ellender.

The concept of isellim is fairly straightforward, experts are able to list themselves in a directory.according to their

professional expertise and will be available for hire by any isellim client. They receive all the tools necessary to

communicate with clients who are searching for immediate help.

From the clients's point of view isellim is an online expert advice service that enables them to contact a real person who is

an expert in the chosen area of inquiry.

"With an isellim account, you are in control of when you are available for work," Ellender said.

When an isellim expert is available, an "online" button appears in the directory of the isellim site or on the experts's web

site, blog or email. Pricing can be set per minute or per call with a set time limit.

The entire service is free for experts, save from a 10 percent commission taken from all Instant Messaging Sessions. "Anyone

on the web can use this, without any money down," Ellender said. "There is only a charge if it's used. The Internet will be a

saviour for knowledgeable people looking to make some extra money."

isellim allows anyone with expert knowledge in their field to use the service; traditional service providers like accountants,

therapists and legal professionals, as well as other experts and enthusiasts, to earn money by connecting online immediately

with their clients.
