Our girl is potty trained!!

She is doing so good I can hardly believe that it's only been a week since we started! She's had a handful of accidents and some weren't even her fault.

She also has this weird aim thing. We put her on the potty and then her pee shoots out between her leg and out of the toilet! It's bizarre but we still don't know how to remedy it!

I'm so proud of her! I just can't believe it happened so fast!

Grammy no nap strikes in New York City!

Today was such a busy day. Margot's relatives got in this afternoon and Graem was so excited and happy to be around everyone. She was her usual happy and hungry self. She ate off of everyone's plate and also had a little (okay a lot) of wine!

This afternoon after going to Best Buy and Kohls with the family I tried to lay her down for a nap. She was overly tired and wouldn't take one. It was too noisy downstairs and it was quite noisy downstairs.

So, we ended up going downstairs. She was great tonight and I was shocked that she didn't crack.

She just went to bed a few minutes ago (it's 11:15pm now!) and it only took a matter of minutes. She was exhausted!

Tomorrow we're doing dim sum and I really would like to get her back on schedule or else I'm screwed for Monday and Tuesday!

My girl is potty trained!

Almost...she made pee pee in the potty for me all Monday. Tuesday she had a few accidents and we were doing errands and so she wore a diaper.

Then today she had daycare. She did a great job but ended up having to change 2 or 3 times because she had a few accidents!

One time she was actually on the toilet and peed outside the toilet!

We're quite proud of our girl. Talk about talent?

Clingy baby

Graem has been so clingy to me lately. I like that she's pretty loving but sometimes it just becomes too much. Especially when I'm trying to do something and all she wants is Mama.

I'm sure it's just because Margot has been working so much. But it also gets pretty stressful on the back because she also wants to be carried!!

I remember pre-Graem I used to see a kid being held by their parent and say "That kid needs to walk". Now look at me. *gulp* I'm eating my own words!

She's two alright...

Boy, my dear daughter has turned into a monster overnight! At first I blamed it on teething, then being sick. But I'm starting to think that she's just evil!!!

Today we were at the postoffice and I must have asked her 100 times to stand by me. She decided to stand next to this lady who had brought her dog in. I figured it was a seeing eye dog.

Graem walked by the dog. I asked Graem to come back because I didn't know if the dog was a nice dog or not.

As I'm checking out (there are about 1,000 people behind me) Graem goes to where the dog and lady are standing. The lady basically screams at me "THE DOG IS WORKING."

I picked Graem up and sat her on the counter.

I wasn't really mad at Grammy - she was actually being good and hadn't even really approached the dog.

I was steaming pissed at the lady though! What a bitch to yell at my kid like that. I must have given her the look from hell because she later said "She can't have distractions when she's "working""

Whatever, lady. The damn dog's going to have distractions if she's walking around with blind people all of the time! To have a 2 year old around the dog wasn't going to cause the dog to "take a break!" GOD FORBID!

Poor Grammy

Grammy was so sick yesterday that we ended up taking her to the ER. They pumped her full of IVs and she seemed to perk back to her normal, bossy self!

Today she has been so sweet and just wants to be held and snuggled. I must say there's something "nice" about her being sick!

Tonight our friends are coming over for a much needed "social committee" meeting.

I'm sure Graem will perk right up to see her favorite people around. It's been such a long time.

I have a two year old! YIKES!

Graem's two year birthday was Thursday the 28th. I can't believe I have a two year old!

I always knew I wanted a baby but wasn't sure that I had signed up for the whole toddler deal when she was born!

She has started peeing in the potty and of course the one thing that we totally need to break her of is that darn baba!

She's turned into quite the little lady. She's so sweet and compassionate not to mention smart.

Of course, now she's blissfully watching Tom and Jerry on TV after going to the closet and getting me a heating pad for my cramps. *angel*

Let's give her another 10 minutes after Tom and Jerry is over and we are trying to get her dressed!
